IMPACT OF ONE’S OWN SOCIALIZATION PROCESS ON BECOMING A TEACHER AND ITS LIMITATION Socialization can be defined as an activity of mixing socially with others. Socialization refers to the meaning of one being able to relate in a pleasant type of companionship with a friend or associate. The socialization process allows the individual get adjusted with the norms of a given social group or society. It prepares the individual to fit in the group and to perform the social roles. It is a process through which the younger generation learns the adult role which it has to play subsequently. I have chosen a career in education because I believe that it is one of the most important functions performed in our culture. I believe that teachers individually and collectively have the ability to not only change the world but to improve it.
